About Littleviews on New York City
>> During 2007, the focus of Littleviews was to help visitors and people within New York City make contact with events, activities, and people who share their interests.
As of 2008, Littleviews is in the process of change. While Littleviews will continue to help people become more aware of activities, we are going to narrow our focus to topics we find particularly worthwhile.
February 24: Oy! So what's going on with Littleviews?
Littleviews is a family-run website, with me (Karen Little) providing articles and the programming behind the events calendars and membership area. Since the inception of Littleviews, I worked in New York, but as of this February, I began working in New Jersey. The result? I can no longer cover what's going on in the city.
In addition to my job location, eight months ago, one of my daughters gave birth to her tightly-spaced, third child (Emma just turned 3, Neve is about to turn 2, and Lukas, 1 in June). Needless to say, her family needs a lot of help, and I pitch in every weekend.
So what's happening to the Events Calendar? Through the end of January, we had a fabulous typist who posted interesting events. Unfortunately, when we lost our financial backer, we also lost our ability to pay a salary. Result? Far fewer events now appear.
I still have articles to post, but nothing is going to appear until March. Because of the popularity of Littleviews, (until recently, up to 2,000 people logged on and up to 5,000 pages were read daily), it's a bit hard to change directions, but change we must.
